i'll let you guys interpret this pic yourselves...

Let's analyse it!

After looking at this picture for a while, it seems that this picture poses some doubts in some areas:

1) The exit sign on the left. Let say the area on the left is a a glass door along the corridor that reflected the exit sign. If the exit sign is reflected on this glass door, the reflected sign should be tapered inwards, and not of a rectangular shape becoz the glass door is at an angle other than 180 degrees to the sign. But if the left area is another corridor, who will put the exit sign inverted?? And why is the corridor on the left lighted up only on 1 side? That only left 1 possibilty. The sign must be reflected from behind the photographer. From the size of this reflected exit sign, the photographer should be standing in the middle of the corridor. This corridor seems to be around 10-15m long using the doors and signs as reference. Is there a corridor with 2 exit doors so close to each other??

2) The darker shade area (reflection) below the "Exit" sign. This darker area should be a reflection from the back of the photographer. Looking closely, it seems to be some sort of a curtain that stretch from the "E" of the left exit sign to 1 inch before the right edge. This curtain do resemble those used in the wards for every beds. Also note that the 3 bright lights on the top part of the picture are actually reflection of the lights behind the photographer rather than the lights in front of the photographer. This can be confirmed with the position of the lights over the ceiling.

3) The "ghost". This figure should not be in front of the photographer, as the area to the left will be too dark for the figure to be seen. And if u examine this figure carefully, u can see a white border around this figure, overlapping the slightly darker area (curtain) on the right side of the figure?

4) The whitish patch near the bottom right side of the "Closed" sign. It does look like a finger mark on the glass door the sign is attached to, but is it possible for a glass door to be so dirty in a hospital?? On another thought, it may also be a reflection again.

5) The edge of the "Closed" sign. There seems to be a small white border around this sign as well, and its most noticable on the left side, beside the figure. Also note that the edges of this sign is jagged. These 2 points makes me believe that this sign is "pasted" onto the picture, with the background of the "Closed" sign picture being brighter.

er..what forum did you post the pic on? sound like full scale investigation in progress liao

actually when i posted this pic i was thinking of the "exit" door and it being "closed". of course different people would probably interpret the pic differently. hence i left it open. i really did not notice a "ghost" there until caseytan pointed it out.

anyway kudos (but no prizes) to anyone who can figure this pic out. other than adjusting the tone curves/hue/saturation and resizing, no other manipulation was done to this pic. :p

Er.... SPI forums...

What was behind you when you shot the pic?
Sure there is absolutely no one behind you?

Hmmm.... Maybe you should take a day pic?

I'm also interested in that pic, and how did the 'exit' sign reflection came about... :)

heh...the pic was taken around 9.30am when i went for my dr's appt - i adjusted the curves increase the contrast to add to the mood. there's a glass door to another clinic on the left. the corridor is L-shaped and the clinic i was it is at the corner of the L. i'm quite sure no one was behind me.

Is the reflected 'exit' sign the sign on the door in front of you?

the reflected 'exit' is the reflection of the exit door off the the glass door on the left.

Okay... Now this is freaky...

Which means the 'lady' is standing either by the 'exit' door or behind the glass dor.....

eh..guys. there's nothing paranormal about the pic after all. with all the sudden paranormic interests in the pic, i thought i'd better take a look at my original before things get out of hand  anyway i found where that "lady" came from...

jan28-color.jpg

heng not real ghost  sorry if i caused anyone any stress or heart attacks :p

PS. i'm very sure that guy in red in the next clinic is not a ghost
