Macros at Canal

First time seen such spider wearing a mask. I like the unique body shape too.

Its a very nice spider....crab spider, and there are many different type with different "masks".

I always enjoy looking at your macro shots.
Somehow, the insects seems to know that you are shooting them and they "pose" for you. There's some form of communication between both parties.

Jogging track from Ghim Moh/Dover to Clementi. But have to look very hard for insects....took me awhile.

Thanks! No communication, but positioning of camera to get "that" angle is impt part of composition....for me at least.

Not really....sometimes, I go out and take quite a long while to see a nice subject.

No problem, usually my shooting times are not fix, but as my son now has lessons at Toa payoh on Sat, I shoot at TPTP from abt 10am-12pm, this Sat.

Next 2 Sat not so sure as I will be having ICT.

I think from the kind of response from people who wants to go shooting with you (including myself), I think it'll be good if you can organize a trip (or someone organize a trip for you). That way, we can all tag along and learn from the sifu.

Since this is my first macro outing (D70 with Micro-Nikkor 105mm f/2.8), I would like to post some photos here for CnC:

I have set to f/14 but still couldn't get a good coverage of whole body sometimes.
