hi i am using a raynox 250 with ef-s 55-250 lens. when i take close up shots of flowers or insects, i cant seem to get the focus right.
if we divide the frame into 9 boxes, the focus is only clear in the middle row while the top and bottom row is blur. most of the times it does affect the subject i am taking as i cannot get a clear focus on it.
i saw your photos and they are awesome, especially with the way you control the focus. how do you achieve that? please help me out here, thanks a million!!
use a smaller fstop ? like f/8 onwards? think that'll help.![]()
I dun think the flash will spoil the photo.. it actually brings out the details of the insects/plants
.I'm now thinking of getting myself a Raynox 250 for my Nikon D60!
Would it mount properly with my Kit Lens?
Where could I buy it here in Singapore and How much?
nice.. wat is the aperature u use?
that means is f8 all the way till f32? then how do i solve the slow shutter prob if i do not have a ext flash? i am using a puffer pop up flash diffuser by gary fong, and the flash seems to spoil the ambience of the photo
alright, i shall go test out with shots with higher f-stops. thanks so much for your help!!

I use a DIY diffuser and i place it at the end of the lens so the barrel will not create a shadow at the bottom of the image taken. Try to change the intensity setting of the pop up flash on the menu to control the exposures. O BTW my DIY diffuser is made of Empty dish washer liquid container.
