Macro shooting with Panasonic GF2

Spidey, organise Ubin trip!!!!, hahaha, Kin lah!!

Look fwd to a m43 macro shoot, can see the different setups from different folks, would definitely learn some tips from James and the rest. The macro arm light is certainly interesting, not sure it would be useful as the VF2 can't be used.

Biggest challenge for E-P1/P2 users. No built in flash so got to choose between VF2 or external flash. I have no idea how to overcome it...

USE WIRELESS TRIGGERS!!! IM IN LOVE WITH MINE!!!! XD

no really, because the raynox is ard 49mm thread size. So if u got 35mm filter size 49 u still able to use it for macro. Even got vigetting in macro we still need to crop so no worry ...:)
thanks for the advice... i will get one of the raynox 250 then and explore some macro shooting soon

That's simple, just use VF2 with build in flash to trigger an slave flash for fill in.

E-P1 and E-P2 bo built in flash lei, E-PL1 and E-PL2 than have, that's why its a challenge hahahah

Got flash, no matter how weak it is, is better than none, I hate mine for not having at times like this.

No flash nevermind use natural available light then & a reflector:)

When I use flash to shoot macro, most time use 1/32-1/64 output. Just fill in the dark area & at time use 2nd curtain

I meant that its a challenge because E-P1 and E-P2 don't have flash, so have to decide for either the flash or the viewfinder

Need a voice activated light stand for ease hahahah

Saw a few threads in macro section using NL, will find out more. If there's a macro outing that will be better, maybe you can demo?

Need not, I will hold that for you at a small fee:)

Is easier to use NL then flash. Here this shot taken this morning with NL, using G1 stack Raynox over 45-200mm. No cropping at all, no reflector were use.

Me poorer than you, just get a used m4/3 with kit lens to shoot. Long as you are happy with your shots & how you want to shoot. You start the outing I might join in:)
