What's the point? Putting a 4/3 sensor into the high-end compact will kill their Pen. From the rumoured source, it seems that Olympus is now competing in this market segment. Long overdue (since the Camedia days) in my opinion.

well E-PL1s is not really the official successor, it's for Japan only... where they make the most mundane updates like "Hello Kitty" versions and sell them as new hehe

The E-PL1s was a fix model. They fixed the kit lens and replaced the battery with one that conformed with the new law.

Considering the price of the STF-22, this would be great, as long as it's effective. I saw something about their discontinuation of the STF-22, so maybe this is the only specialized equipment available now.
