Yup yup, you are right.

Blur- blur already.

Yeap.. I got my lens last week and tried to mount the adapter to my camera..
It seem like it can't lock.. what I did is that I enlarge the holes on the adapter to allow it to lock.. (use a big drill bit and drilled a larger hole)

I went back to the seller in ebay and this is the reply I got :(
"Where do you get the information ? i sell nearly hundred of them and none of customer report there's a problem."

Anyway, it still work as long as the adapter can be mounted onto the camera as there is zero contact btw the lens and the camera..
It just that it feel more secure if the adapter is locked.

When you use the M42 lens, make sure the camera setting is "Set shutter lock to off. (p 97)" in the menu & the pin on the lens is pressed in.. use super glue to hold it in place.

Strange I tried the M42 adaptor on an old Minolta Dynax 7 and clicks in place. But with a Dynax 5D it doesn't click in place. Strange.

No such problems for me... Here is a sample...

reviving old thread on m42 adaptor.

the lens adaptor that i got from a CSer doesnt seem to be able to click in place.
reading back previous posts, i dont seem to think that drilling a bigger hole would make a diff as the hole is exactly where the red dot to mount the lens.
tried it without the lens, just adaptor alone but still unable to click in.

is this normal? cos the distance between the insertion point (red dot) and before it clicks in place is very minimal. a slight twist on the aperture ring will twist the lens out as well.

decided to force adaptor into my KM mount. now it managed to click in place. i think maybe caused by the gaffered mount.
took some pics, but i think seemed to have some focusing issues. dont seem to be able to focus to infinity. close up seems ok.

am i right on the infinity focusing issue? how can i counter?

bro how steady was your tripod for the 15 secs? from the lampposts and lights it looks like some camera shake to me in the cropped pic.. tried doing this in the day with a shorter exposure? i've tweaked my zenitar FE before when it had a focusing issue, not sure if your lens can be adjusted too..

took a few pics, varied the exposure as the metering was a bit off.
think its quite steady, using benro ks-1 + slik 330.
but even in the viewfinder, doesnt seem to be able to get a good focus on the hdb block.
think i ll take one in the day.

saw that post in dyxum but didnt quite get the picture.
but i'll sandpaper it down to try it out.
