Just got the lens cost me less than SGD50 with freight.

Even with an adapter, this lens might not work properly with Minolta Cameras. Pure Auto stop-down lens without manual Function.

What do you mean? I check the lens the aperture is able to be adjusted and the focus seem to be OK.

Ok I get what you mean. The aperture will always be at F2 because the pin to engage the aperture is not press unless you use a special adaptor with a groove.

manage to depress the aperture pin down using a tooth pick. Thanks for the info aperture pin.

Got the adaptor from Eyesthruthelens. The adaptor works perfectly thanks Eyesthruthelens.
Here are the picture of the 50mm F2 with my camera:

M42 50mm F2 lens (had to modify the lens so I can manually control the aperture manually.)

smtan24, did u take the photos in Av mode or M mode? I find that with my zenitar 16mm fisheye, Aperture priority sucks. The camera metering is totally off. Using Manual mode to control the shutter speed is easier for me to ensure proper exposure - or am i missing something?

Running in P mode. Guess I need more work on the shutter settings.

Ran my Dynax 5D in Manual mode and control the shutter image came out better. Thanks dr34mc4st3r
