LX5 - Availability in Singapore & elsewhere

Hi, does anyone here really need extra battery here? I brought my LX5 for trip, its just nice for me to shoot for a day about 450~600 per day on average and charge once per day when i return to hotel, i think its pretty long lasting...

hmm but iRolly said roughly about 6hrs of usage with 200 plus shots and sometimes with video recording.
anyone has any personal comments on their battery(is it lasting or not)?
i'm going to get it this sunday, so would be tracking this thread till then for more information:thumbsup:

mine left one battery bar blinking when i reached home haha.
from what panasonic state is approx 400 pictures according to their japan CIPA standard.

zenithfl mention 450-600.
i guess it really depends on your usage. with and w/o flash and the length of video you took.
as compare to S95 200 shots.
at the end it still depend on how many times you had charge your battery also.

why would somebody wants to buy it at Changi in the first place? leaving the country, duty free, CAAS worker with discount card.. nothing better to do...

the more charge counts the weaker the battery, there is a certain charges life span for battery
and remove the battery when you leave yr camera in a corner of yr hse.

It is not pure white but a metallic white -- no worries man no dirt can stick on its smooth surface.

if u used very often and your hands will sweat alot in the long run it will be slightly yellowish.

It is a very non stick metallic coating, I'm not worried about it getting yellow from using. Ever see a white metallic car turn yellow over the years?:sweatsm:

I'll be more worried that "metallic" gariz sticks would corrode with sweaty hands and turn green or brown or the paint falling off rather than the white paint on LX5 turn yellow. :bsmilie:

The process of car paint coating and electronic gadgets paint coating might be different it really depends. unless the paint coating/finishing for lx5 is as strong as car paint then i will have nth to say.
i had intention to get white too but having tots that the color might not be as new as you just brought so i chosen black.

Even for macbook will turn yellowish due to polycarbonate ):
For me the safest choice for handheld/hand interaction gadgets i will tend to prevent getting white coated paint.
