LX5 - Availability in Singapore & elsewhere

I think the camera is out of stock at a lot of places. Saw on facebook that it's sold out at TK Foto and probably arriving in 2 weeks time. Then I called MS Color, also out of stock. And the person is not sure when it will be in stock. Luckily SLR Revolution still has them, so I made my reservation for the white one. $680 inclusive of 8GB card & casing.

the staff from MS Color told me this was a pre-launch sale.
The LX-5 officially launches at the end of the month, that despite all the advertising they've done for it.

Ricoh LC-1 cap not gonna fit LX5, what do you use to protect the precious Leica Summicron?

I got myself a filter, not so popular brand called "GGS", its still a multicoated UV filter, 32mm with 3M doubsided tape to stick on the DC Vario. Cost of getting the LA6 tube could be costly, and with lens converter tube, it wont be so handy already.

This item cost around S$35, RM80. Bought from JB. Just sharing this info...Cheers

Yes, on the zoom out DC Vario itself, 32mm fit nicely there.

From another sales person in the same shop I got quoted 125.- by phone.

Passing by another shop in Funan, one Joker quoted me 240.-
I think he grow-up in Sim Lim Square

Anybody got an idea of how much the case costs?
Was quoted $99 for the case..which I feel is a tad expensive.

You'd need to get the generic china producers to crack the ID secured chip in the battery first, ha!

Nope, LX5 uses BCJ13, TZ10 uses BCG10, different ID secure chips

You can get it at Cathay Photos. I think all the branches will have.
