Any idea so far which are the original accessories available for the LX3? Seems like nothing to add on for now. I am aiming to get the original case, viewfinder and screen protector first..

I am also waiting for the LX3 leather case. Checked with Alan Photo today, they have already ordered the case but not sure when it will arrive. :dunno:

Can the LX3 do time lapse? It is one of the best feature from Ricoh...

I went to AP with the intention of getting the LX3 but I was disappointed with the LX3 on 2 counts.

Firstly, the feel & handling of the Ricoh GX200 (another alternative) seems better.

Secondly, why does the image in the LCD flickers when you focus on the subject? There also seem to be a bit of lag when you depressed the shutter button before you see the captured image. I find the flickering LCD image very irritating and was wondering whether it only happens to the demo set. Anyone care to confirm this?

Otherwise, the price + wide angle convertor should be cheaper than the GX200 + EVF but w/o wide angle convertor.

I'm getting more poisoned after reading more about this cam... Does anyone know how much the optical viewfinder costs? And if we put it on, can we disable the LCD display? I'm not so interested in the case as in the external VF (although it is stuck at 24mm :-( )

the cam might be set to high-speed focusing, it sort of "freeze" the screen during focusing, should be gone when you use other focusing method
