It does, max can stop down to F8.0...just that when u zoom in the max, the biggest aperture u can achieve is F2.8

Hmm...is BULB mode the SLR term for unlimited exposure timing? If so, I dun tink so...I forget it's maximum duration liaoz...

longest shutter speed is 60 sec but that is in the starry sky mode, under scene menu.

in M mode, the duration is shorter think max is 30 sec.

anyone tried using some Lomo accessories on LX3? like Colorsplash Flash.. etc? i heard some would only work properly with diana horseshoe adapter.. is it true?

I heard over the counter that firmware update will inhibit the use of 3rd party battery. is it true?

No issue so far using firmware 2.1 with 3rd party batt.

May I know how do u fellows use the custom white balance feature in this LX3 "elegantly"? i.e. currently, for photos I take indoors, I literally take a piece of printing paper to set it, but is there a nicer method for when I don't have access to printing paper outside? Do I like, use the back of a white namecard, or the white surface of a wall or something?

U can just go CP buy the Nikon BS-1 hotshoe cover for only $4 each, i did that for both my LX3 and 5D.

By the way here's mine with Nikon's BS-1 accessory cover, only $4 and saves u the hassle of DIYing one.

went asking around quite a few shop there at lv1 n 2 all dun have
some shop dun even seems to know there is a hotshoe cover
saw a post here on diy so try loh, quite fun actually

U should've asked CP Peninsula Plaza, they've lots of stocks.

I got it in CP few mths ago.
Anyway, it's a Nikon hotshoe cover that can fit on LX3, which cost at most $4.

quite easy, i followed the EP1 leatherette installation instructions, using abit of water first was the most important step for me as it allow the leatherette to be adjusted slightly after attaching to make sure it fits nicely.
