LX1 Rocks!!!

I can't get the built-in flash of LX1 to sync with another pocket flash. It looks like its flash trigers the other flash a second too fast. Can anyone confirm it or ... better any work around? Thanks.

could it be due to preflash? :dunno:
check if you have turn on red-eye reduction.

I have tried all 3 settings of the flash and all failed.

why not consider LX2? imho, it is better when you are shooting at ISO<200, for more than 200, you can simply turn to RAW. :thumbsup:

i think the lx2 is between 600-700 here... as for differences between LX and FX
LX - manual control + 28mm lens, 16:9 ratio without crop.
FX - auto and scene + some 35mm, some 28mm.

iirc those are the more obvious diff.

the Caplio GX100 was getting quite a bit of attention in the local papers...think ST Digital Life covered it last week. 24-72mm lens sounds good to me for a compact.

thinking of getting a LX2 for fun...i still have a soft spot for lumix.

gx100 is interesting but bulky ler...

GX100 and LX1/LX2 are about the same size with the Ricoh being a bit longer. Both have protruding lenses with lens cap.

Got myself the GX100 yesterday and had some wonderful pics taken with it. Hopefully these pics will pay for this cam.
Love the wide angle at 24mm and went ahead to buy the 19mm lens today!

Just wonder how much is it and how's the quality of the photos output, the 24mm is tempting.
