LX1 Rocks!!!

hi Weekh, does this means LX1 has no continuous shooting equivalent? what's the shutter lag like? Thanks for sharing.

LX1 has a continous shooting mode in jpg only. I've never used because I only shoot in RAW.

With a 50x SD card and pre-focusing the lens, the lag is about 5 -6 seconds.

wah great shots and steady hand, Weekh really know what to take. I think the photographer is great, the LX1 is just a tool. IMHO

How can shutter lag be 5 - 6 seconds? :bigeyes: I'll throw the camera away even if it is just 0.5 second!

The LX1 shutter response is almost instant! :thumbsup:


The 5 - 6 seconds I'm referring to is the lag inbetween RAW shots.

Where did u hear or read about this? Is it expecting a new LX2 or dropping this 16:9 format?
If they are dropping this format, I'll pick up another one under the name badge of Leica.

Just curious.. would you pick up another "identical" model instead of waiting for the LX-2?

do you think the new venus engine would improve processing times in b/w raw shots, since you mention the wait time is a couple of seconds?

I'm thinking of getting the DLux 2 which is actually a LX1.
Get yourself the L1 and u will have several shots in 1 second.

nevertheless, unlike fading old slides, the digital files look as thought it was shot yesterday. timeless and new forever

fun to compare similar shots taken at different time and place.
and of course different format and cam.
