Hi, Navygreen

Where do you get your offer of S$815 plus 1g memory card??

Is it with gst??

Thanks.

you should be able to get it at $850 (incl. of GST) from MS Color in the same package...tats wat they quote me over the phone

Whoa I am totally overwhelmed by the photos.. yes, LX1 Rocks

Thanks to this thread and the many inputs from various people, I've been very happy with the purchase of my LX1. I am in no way a pro-pixel-peeper. This is by no means a scientific test under perfectly controlled conditions, but it may give a general feeling about the performance in low light conditions.

I do want to help out some other people that may be contemplating this camera. Most people that are on the fence about this camera keep talking about the noise issue. I'm hoping that this gallery can help clarify any questions.

Conditions:
Low light, incandescent desk lamp
auto w/b
raw
aperture priority
f/2.8
converted to jpeg with adobe raw converter (no adjustments made)

Noise samples

Cheers. :D

I heard Panasonic is gonna discontinue this model. This always happens when we chase technology....

Where did u hear or read about this? Is it expecting a new LX2 or dropping this 16:9 format?
If they are dropping this format, I'll pick up another one under the name badge of Leica.

hello.. i juz went to sim lim today to check out the price for lx 1.. seems that most shops r selling 800 plus(includes gst) .. theres one particular shop that sells for 734(includes gst) with a 512 sd card.. is it too good to be true?

Hi weekh,

I have the Leica D-Lux 2 version and been trying to use my old Olympus T20 as an external flash with a slave trigger and I can't seems to be able to get it to "sync" correctly. At night in my living room with fluorecent white lamp when I shoot the living room with the slave flash on, the picture turns out very dark.. even darker than shooting with just the onboard flash. Same thing happens when I shoot in darkness with slave flash on.

Funny thing is that when I shoot under the same lighting condition on near object its too powerful and the picture becomes over exposed. I am using manual mode with the aperture setting according to the flash distance.

Any ideas or helps is appreciated.

Thanks.

I've tried using the morris slave with LX1 but with erratic results.
But someone had used a Metz slave flash and it works fine with the camera.

I heard, you heard. So many little birdies.

I have friend working as Panasonic supplies but only have lobang for professional equipment. Consumer price still high...

He told me LX-1 gonna discon soon last week.

Ever thought that u can use the LX1 as a super tele lens for birding?

See digiscoping. This site has some 18 MB Tif files and the result is amazing!

Yup... I have the Metz 28 CS-2 and it works fine too... but somehow, I can't seems to use it with my Olympus T20 and FL20.

Thanks for the advice.

I'm interested to know that too ....734 is a very good deal :p
