The FX01 has yet to be launched anywhere, i believe there is a date indicated, close followers of the Lumix-Leica close should know

RAW is still best - have only just started exploring noise reduction, and it helps heaps. Plus raw is the selected option for control over the final image.

LX-1 is a small handy tool for those who do not want to lug their SLRs, besides the best camera is one you will bring along, not one you will keep in the drybox.

Quite a few people have already given bought the LX-1 as a carry everywhere camera, to replace their low end DSLRs.

This is making me think twice about buying a DSLR ;p It looks like a perfect street/walkaround camera though. Will need to replace my aging LC-33 soon anyway :sweat:

What SD card you are using for the D-Lux2/LX1 P&S?

Someone selling Sandisk Ultra and Extreme SD cards... Ultra cheaper but is it fast enough for storing RAW?

I'm using a 50X and it takes about 7 seconds inbetween RAW shots.
A normal speed card takes much longer.

Thanks.. I think the Sandisk Ultra is 66x and the Extreme is 133x, not really sure but that is what I saw on the B&S thread.

May I ask another question? what Slave Flash do you use?

Hardly ever uses the flash.

But I've tried b4 with morris and the trigger is rather inconsistant. So gave up.

U may like to consider Metz 28 CS-2. It has a learning mode which may be the answer to use it with the LX1.

I'll second this idea. Your photos and information went a long way toward me buying this cam. I've loved every minute of ownership.

Actually, I bought exactly this flash, bought it before the camera. Match nicely with an attached bracket to place the camera next to it.

Quite accurate flash, although there is 2 dettachable diffuser not labelled which is Tele which is for Wide.

I bought mine at Alex Photo while I was just browsing around PP, saw one set in the window display and bought it. Cost $200.
