this is indeed the best price i've seen for ricoh gr-d! i was equoted $819 for the lx-1 ...and these are my 2 shortlisted choices. now dunno wat to buy. :S

Very newbie here but hey weekh, can i check with you if you use a tripod on most photos shown here?
cuz very sharp and clear, envious as i always have shaky hands even with the mega OIS on for FZ5 but having a tripod around is also quite a bother. Is there any ways to minimize the shakiness??

Panasonic should release a dedicated underwater housing for LX1.
I was using EwaMarine plastic bag and all the buttons are really hard to adjust and control. Shutter release button also feels a bit retarded.

Hi Weekh,

Those street photos taken by U are very very impressive. :thumbsup: I like street photography & candid shot too. But there is always a big problem for me to shot candid. i always lack of guts. (bo ji?? haha:bsmilie: ) whenever i see good scene, before i take out my camera, i always struggle inside my heart.. shall i shoot or not?? :think: .. by the time i made up my mind, sigh... the object has gone. :cry:

Looking at ur street shot, some are taken even in Hindu temple & Mosque.. Can u share with us how u did it? Really appreciate it if u could guide & share some of ur experience with a newbie like me... hee....

Can I confirm, LX1 can only take pictures in RAW + JPEG right? It can't take RAW alone? I also wanted to experiment using RAW, but using RAW + JPEG is going to take up hell a lot of memory space..
