hmm so which deal is better? BargainCity or MS?

my friend got a quote from alan
$820 w/o gst and no freebie

I'm considering to give up my pretty-new FX-9 for the LX-1. Actually when I bought the FX-9 in October, the salesman didn't seem keen to sell the LX-1 to me :dunno:

Anyhow, the main gripe I have with the FX-9 is I'm experiencing awful noise for my night shots, wonder if the LX-1 is better in this area?

how much are u letting go for the FX-9 ?

maddog > I can see colour gremlins in that night shot...could it be that FX-9 & LX-1 have no difference when taking nightshots?!

cikgoo > Maybe S$500, if I DO decide to sell it off. I really don't know what's the going rate for 2nd hand FX-9...

LX-1 has dark-frame noise subtraction for long exposure therefore the nightshots turn out well but I am not sure about FX-9. Maybe you can check if it has the feature?

4 seconds shot at ISO 80. Very clean at those dark and shadow areas.

But strangely, I've some noisy shadows at ISO 80 on shorter exposure. I guess the cam has special treatment for long exposure shots.

i'm very amazed at the pictures taken by this cam....
but do you think pana will release LX2 in the first half of this year ?

Here's a sample to show how sharp this little cam is:

can I use an external flash with this camera?

There's no dedicated hot shoes on the camera.
However, u can always use the built-in flash to trigger an external flash such as the morris slave.

I'm using the LX1 so often that my 1Ds is now collecting dust. So I've just decided to put the 1Ds up for sale....

LX1 is the first cam I came across that is small in size but big in feature and gives u RAW file. Sensor size issue aside, it is even better than a T3, GR1s cos it has a zoom lens!

Bro, you have to look at the GR-D. You have to look at the GR-D....
