Time flies... and in a twinkle of an eye, your child has grown, people has aged and environment has changed.

APWP 2015 will be my journey to record, remember and appreciate the little things that I have missed out in my normal days, as well as to give thanks for the little joys given from above. And hopefully when I looked back at the end of the year, I will find myself appreciating life more...

#1 Pull-string photo frame

Olympus EM5 | M.Zuiko 14-42mm EZ

A photo frame left standing on the shelf. It's been awhile that i last pulled the string and let the sweet musical box played its song in the house and the memories of the days of the holidays filled the room...

#2 A sewing corner

By the corner, a set of old sewing machine resides. By it, a woman brought up her children, and now served to mend clothing and made pillow coverings for her grandchildren. It speaks of love.

In a time where clothing are plentiful, people seldom does it nowadays.. a tradition soon to be forgotten in the newer generations.

#3 Morning Tea & Daily Bread

Olympus EM5 | M.Zuiko 14-42mm EZ

Learning to appreciate the little time spent sipping morning tea and prayer. End of the day, sometimes it is not the big important things that have been accomplished but these little things that make my day, and bring a smile to myself knowing "hey! I had did something I enjoy today, and made today worthwhile.".

Have you did something worthwhile today?

#3 Piano practice
[150115]

15662931883_8e3311cae8_z.jpg

Olympus EM5 | Sigma 60mm

Used to grumble everytime I was dragged into the daily piano practice just for company...
until I realised that one day all these will only be sweet memories when your child grew up, started work and form their own families.

Suddenly, half an hour of parent-child bonding time in front of the piano seem so short and precious, and looking forward for...

Hi Hjbyeo, thanks for pointing out what works in this photo. Ya, I like this too because the movement brings some life into an otherwise static photo. :)

Hi, Keith. Thanks for dropping by, and for the kind comment. :)
I did some manual processing on the s-curves on the original raw file as it gives me more control to the exact feel that I want. Still experimenting... :D

Nice, reminds me of my drawing sessions with son :)
Hi, wonglp! Thanks for dropping by.
Yap, they grew up real fast... and soon enough they will doing the same with their children what we accompany them with. Interesting, isn't it? :)

#4 Medicine & Health

Medicine has never taste so sweet until...

Been down with a throat infection that made me lethargic and blank. Little things like taking care of oneself seen so trivial that only when one is unwell then we start to appreciate the importance of wellness.

And after we are nursed back to health, we start to take them trivially again... funny isn't it?

#5 A bowl of instant noodle

After so many years of accompany, she's still ever ready to dish up a bowl of noodle whenever I'm hungry at night.
It may be a simple bowl of instant noodle, but there always additional ingredients to spice up an otherwise ordinary meal.

As always, the hot noodle never fails to warm my tummy, and my heart...

Nokia Lumia 1020 | Cropped

The red bandana (红头巾) of our times. As with our forefathers who travelled from other parts of the world to seek a better life, who knows if they themselves too have also each have a tale behind to share.

#7 From EPM1 to EM1

Olympus EM1 | M.Zuiko 45mm

The EPM1. My very first interchangeable lens camera.

I had always loved its stylo look. The one that made me acquired the very basics of photography from cleaning lens, changing lens to exposure triangle. Although I have outgrown its features (or at least i think I had), it will still always be a part of my photography learning journey.

What about your very first camera?

I have always prefer to get rose as a single stalk entity.

Sometimes, too many fancy wrappings hide its original beauty, especially during Valentine's.
Many a times, people are actually the roses. What say you?

Sometimes, in life, ignore the imperfection, and just appreciate it as it is.
