Anyway I have been doing it for free to build up my portfolio and I am not using a PHD camera. I do own 2 semi-pro Canon DSLR bodies and a wide range of L lenses.
.
so sad..........
why why why???
Sorry guys, I have to clarify. Actually I was asked by my sis-in-law to help her out. I had been helping her, but I just had a newborn and I couldn't help this time. Thus I tried here to sort some help. Anyway I have been doing it for free to build up my portfolio and I am not using a PHD camera. I do own 2 semi-pro Canon DSLR bodies and a wide range of L lenses.
I believe the magazine will definitely pay for photographers, if need be. I have covered some events for her and sometimes the photos wasn't even published. If it were a high-profile event, I don't believe that the mag will stoop so low to get free photographers. Like LV launches, they hired some pros and flew them to KL for the weekend.
My intention of posting here is not to get free service. But I would like to present an opportunity for people who do not have experience to have some exposure to the work. If you do not have experience, you will not be hired in this competitive line. Who knows next time the mag will consider really hiring the person for job.
It is the same in every line. Before you can make it, do the necessary networking first.
Anyway, somebody has already contacted me. Thanks for all the feedback.
so Prestige is a mag abt ducks? :bsmilie:
Looking for a photographer for Charity Event Coverage
This is for a magazine, no pay, but food is provided and credits will be given by the magazine. The event is in Ang Mo Kio, no experience needed.
I hope the Prestige honour their words.
If you were to read the very first post, the writer indicates it is a free service. Subsequent post indicates that he is doing it for his sister. Other binding information regarding pay and details of recognition from the original writer or the officials from the magazine is not listed. How about the charity part?
When u shoot for free... its a charity in itself already...
