Part Two with Belair

another double exposure at 7pm... this is the most still i can held a camera at that low shutter speed...

Crop circle...

the stair can go either way... up or down...

Life lines, you decide...

Nice!!!

seriously tho... how do i know that the camera is functioning properly? i have no way to know if the shutter speed is correct or not as there is no indicator light on the camera if the batteries are fine... even if i inserted them correctly.

U know when u collect the roll from the lab

Hi,
If I were to shoot at 6x9 , do I stop winding at every 1 1/2 frame? I'm aware that at 6x12, we stop at frame 2,4,6 etc...

Thanks

looks like my belair is dead-on-arrival... sigh... :mad2:

What happen? Defective set?

probably... even with fresh batteries, the bulb mode doesn't work... now i know why my first roll is blank cos the shutter is just stuck at one speed...

nightwolf75 did you insert batteries with correct polarity? They do not both face the same way! When you open the battery catch, take a small torchlight and shine it onto the circuit board inside the battery compartment. You will be able to see the correct polarity labelled on the circuit board. I would take a quick picture for you but the belair is no longer with me, was my gf's christmas present haha.

Btw, does anyone know how loose the lens are supposed to be when mounted? I'm not sure if I mounted them properly all the way and did not want to force anything in case something breaks. But they are so loose even the zone focal ring is tighter so you will twist the lens right off the mount when using the focal ring.

no... it was in the right way...

i brought it down to lomo embassy SG today... and yep. it is dead. they are kind enough to replace it for me. problem is the stocks are only arriving mid-jan.

I have a question - Do local developers accept a color 6 x 12 negative?

the good ones, yes. i send my MF films to fotohub. triple D over at burlington square also does it.

Tried shooting B&W with the Belair in 6x6 format. I've found that the 90mm lens is quite sharp IF focused accurately (but most of the time it's hit or missed for me :( )

This shot was in focus:

Just for the fun of it, I "mounted" a Leica Elmar 9cm lens on the Belair and took a few test shots. Here is the result: :bsmilie:

So looks like even a Leica lens mounted on a Lomo cam would also produce Lomo effect. LOL.
