i can't wind the firm with the string. the string just skip went i try to pull it.

Darktimus, bring it back and exchange it for a new one.

Bought my supersampler from proj shop 1 year back. Had some problems with it and I had to change it 2 times before the camera works.

Seems like quality is not a consideration when they made these cameras......

They are just cheaply made toy cameras made in Taiwan (LC-A excluded) with a brand slapped on accompanied with a fancy tagline "Shoot from the hips".

What do you expect?

for 2nd hand LC-As from the soviet era, go to Dinky's (Tel 65345583) at collyer quay. i got mine at S$120 more than a year ago, 1987 made with strap too.

unfortunately it has sticky shutter problem. if anyone wants it to salvage parts, drop me a note.

yeah i know the feeling... the sound of turing the reel of the cybersampler makes it sound like its going to break all the time...

The Holga and Action Sampler are *NOT* LOMO cameras, not at all! They are Chinese-made "cameras" being sold under the LOMOgraphic Society International's banner. (An Austrian company originally formed to promote and sell the use of LC-A and hence, LOMOgraphy). LOMO (Leningradskoye Optiko Mechanichesckoye Obyedinenie, or, Leningrad Optical & Mechanical Enterprise) is Russian, and never did manufacture any of these cameras. Instead, they used to churn out cheap everyday-man cameras such as the Lubitels, LOMO 135VS and the SMENAs. LOMO manufactures optics for scientific and medical industries nowadays.
