how much ar? i got some Kino voucher left, may be can use it to buy :D

price ranges from $80 - $150, something like that

under which section in kino? i suppose we are all talking abt the ngee ann branch? :dunno:

yup. Ngee ann.its where all the design related books are->pageONE section. gotta go into the section counter for the lomos. alternatively, a shop called hooked in the basement of far east plaza sells them too.
but anyone know where to get the original black lomos? will holgas be similar?

Prices from $80 plus onwards...
I'll be getting the sampler and the starter kit myself, u try the holgas also..
can do wonders wif it!

Curious.... Can I ask what lomography is all about?? Thanks... ;)

Lomography is about taking photo using Lomo..
and lomo is a camera..

What's so great about Lomo camera, u may ask..
check out the website and u will know -> http://www.lomography.com/

in short, its one of those MTV-generation fads....
originated from the russian brand of cheaply produced cameras that produces light leaks so stylisticallly that it becomes 'dreamy', it now develops into a category of its own.
overcrash> lomo originals are those like the LCA... of cos it'll be good if u can get your hands on the older ones manufactured before the fad. those will likely to be antiques and collectables and rare. Saw someone selling the LCA at 255 in the buy/sell section not long ago. The cheaper alternative will be getting the Holga which is an 'imitation' also using the plastic lenses. Its all a matter of preferences. I've seen some really amazing sequential shots composed with the samplers as well and most samplers are affordable well below the 100 mark.

hi, if you all don't mind give me alittle bit of time, i let check with my fren (in NS now) so gotta wait for him to come out, his selling lomo is definiteily cheaper than kino!! but is not a grantee he has the stock, so let me check with him and i get back to you guys??

regards
denis

There is a corner shop in Far East Plaza, Level ONE, that sells many lomo cameras.

And around the corner is a toy shop, where I got my fake-o cybersampler at $20! It works fine after I brought it back to exchange. Good to use, because now I'm quite sick of it, no waste of $100 or so. heh.

You can pick up actionsamplers from Ruby as well, as well as the panoramic and color-gel flash ones (dunno what they're called...)...

think i got my actionsampler for just under a $100? can't remember also... ... :dunno:

hey... quite interested in this too.. sounds fun.

but lomo cams uses the usual film? or what?

Hi all,

i've been into lomography for almost a year now and i must say that it's been really fun!

basically lomography is also a form of photography and it's really about getting out there and just shoot. no rights or no wrongs. it's about the nice saturated colours you get from the cam and of course the vignetting. it's about experimenting and just having fun.

i suggest getting the mother of all lomos if you can afford one which is the lomo lc-a. it's a small black camera that can be easily brought around so that you wont miss any photographic moment. heh. :p it has a old feel to it and of course it's russian. :)

all lomo cams use film and they also have 120 format cams like the holga.

you can get lomo cams from Ruby, Hooked Clothings at Far East Level One, PageOne at Kino and a couple more places which i can't remember. Visit the Singapore lomo embassy site at http://www.ffurious.com. You can of course try ebay also.

Hope i've been of some help. :)

you certainly did...

made me very tempted to try lomo... means more... $$
