Hi extreme2,

Ya I would like to know too, how is the scanned pic comparing to your original slide? How close is the tones and colors of the scanned pic vs the original? One of my biggest problem when scanning pics is that some of the tones will just not turn out (for example, a model's hairs against a mid dark background, on the slide you can see the different between the two, but after scanned in they just blend together). Color hue shifting is another problem that I have...

is the color same as ur slides ?? coz i think the color is little bit dull..... is it because of the scanner or the original is like that ?

The colour is very near to my original slides... coz those slides were taken 10yrs ago and was not kept in proper storage therefore it looks dull.

Wow... I never know fungus can be spread so easily....like VIRUS. :o

Aiyo...there is no contact between the scanner lens and the slide, how can it spread.... if only they have legs... :p

Any Pro around to clarify??? ;p

I saw your original sample scans, pretty impressed by the details. Looking back at my $300+ scanner, it is only capable of producing tonnes of grain even from velvia.

Like the chinese saying, one cent more...one cent more quality.

I have two questions for you

1) Did you do any editing to your original large sample? eg, level, curve, USM?

2) How well do you think this scanner has render the shadow details in the range of zone 3 if you compare the scan to the slide?

Thanks

Wonder if the offer stil stand? i am interested to purchase the scanner. How many persons is needed to bring the cost further lower than $780?

;)

Hi all,
Just curious, isn't ice technology suppose to be from Nikon. How come Acer got that too? If so, any difference between the two?

ICE is not Nikon technology, but licensed from another third party company (I can't remember the name now). That's why Minolta also has ICE in their scanner.

Which Minolta scanners have ICE? Dual scan don't have rite? e multi scan have issit?
