how much for the canon fs4000us?
so how does FARE compares to ICE?
sorry don't really know much bout film scanners.
they're like so ex think at most can afford is the acer one

The retail price should be about S$1600 but I got it used and @ a very attractive mint price of S$1k!

I've never experienced or seen ICE in action but I 'sincerely' hope FARE is as good as ICE!

heheh then i think i better drop the idea then.
my dad's gonna buy a canon scanner, costs ard 300 from pcshow2002 and he says it can scan film negatives one but i doubt the quality will be good.

Well, probably a flatbed scanner with film adaptor. Quality is horrible at best.

Think the best value for money film scanner is now the Acer ScanWit 2720 @ $600, and the 2740 @ $800. The former does not have ICE.

Is BenQ and Acer same?

How much you spend for yours finally? Hope to see your photos soon...make some comparison on non-ICE and ICE on samples. Time of scanning...big quality file samples...

Not really. Acer remains Acer. Their PC division is Acer, but their multimedia division is now known as Benq.
