For many years many of the Pasir Ris community have enjoyed Pasir Ris Park during their free time. It's a place for family bonding and even a place to cultivate a simple and healthy lifestyle. Many have made this a place to escape the busy tiresome working lifestyle in Singapore.

This is a story of a group of kite fliers, a group of individuals which came together because of one passion, and to encouraged the community to enjoy a leisure activity of kite flying. This is their way of giving back that simple something back to the community. Kite flying, a simple past time, which teaches many to relax, to have patience, and to have a sense of confidence after one has successfully flow one. It also helps family bond with their family members as this activity could also encourage team work.

But recently this activity have been denied to the public and community. Thanks to the sign which is erected in the middle of an open patch of grass. Denying everyone from flying their colourful creations. It's future in the park seems bleak, and many kids might also be denied of the simple pleasures of life. Play.

Simply love the picture and the description

hahaha. this is really funny!

the picture with the kite "denied" is pretty cool too!

Thanks gusto,... just making the best out of the least I have ;)

WOW! Your street shots are stunning! Especially the "train to heaven".
I wanna learn too!

I particularly love the photos with solid strong geometric patterns or deep emotive feelings. I can't seem to produce such strong use of lines and shapes nor produce pictures which evoke feelings from deep within.

The candids are not of my interest so I can't really comment on them.

Love the shots, keep em coming!

Thanks for the kind words Yoricko. As a designer, I am often driven by my own feelings, and applying them to my art of design as much as I can. It is like an outlet of feelings. I constantly seek the quirky, the humor, and even those which influences me deeply. I guess it is a reflection of who I am, as a person, an artist or a designer. I am still a freshie in street photography, so sometimes, my shots are a miss, sometimes it does hit something in people's heart. It is a form of communication I guess. Not everyone will understand them, or see them in the same view as I do. So it applies to me. I can not understand most of the works posted here,... nor would they make me take a second glance. But it does not mean they are bad ;) maybe it just did not appeal to me, or it is just not compelling enough to demand that second look, even from others.
