Atletico Madrid star agrees Liverpool move
Maxi Rodriguez will join Liverpool tomorrow on a permanent contract after being persuaded to move to Merseyside by Javier Mascherano.
The Argentina international was considering a short-term loan offer from the Anfield club, and reasoned that he should speak with his fellow countryman before committing.
But so impressed was Rodriguez by what the Liverpool midfielder had to say, he has decided to commit to an 18-month contract.

Babel bid turned down

Liverpool have turned down a bid for Ryan Babel.
Birmingham City have made a £9m bid for the Dutch winger but Rafael Benitez has turned it down, as he values Babel at £12m. Liverpool paid £11.5m for Babel in 2007 and are looking to get their money back at the least.
Even if Liverpool were to accept the bid there is no guarentee Babel would join Bimingham as they would not be able to offer him European football.

Snow Scuppers Andrea Dossena's Move From Liverpool To Napoli
Weather conditions put Italian's move back home on hold...
Liverpool left-back Andrea Dossena found himself stranded on Merseyside yesterday as the wintry weather conditions put his move to Napoli on hold.
The city's John Lennon Airport was closed and so was Manchester Airport after heavy snow hit the north of England this week.
The left-back was expected to seal his switch to the Serie A outfit on Tuesday but will have to wait until he can fly to his homeland to ink the deal, according to The Daily Mirror.
The £4 million move will go ahead as soon as the weather allows though, bringing to an end the Italian's unhappy spell at Anfield.
"At the moment there are logistical problems, that is to say he can't leave Liverpool because of the snow," said Roberto La Florio, the player's agent.
"When he can get over to Napoli, he will arrive on a permanent basis with a contract for four-and-a-half years. I believe he will arrive in the city tomorrow."
