i think with the number of points we got this season,we could be champions in some other seasons...maybe i better check how many seasons the champions won with more than 86 points...:think:

If word in the morning papers is true (yeah, yeah - we know) then it could be an ugly summer to be a Liverpool fan.

To kick things off, The Sun pick up on some rumours in the Spanish press that were doing the rounds on Friday, claiming that Barcelona are weighing up a £20million move for Javier Mascherano, who they describe as 'unsettled'.

Furthermore, they reckon Xabi Alonso is 'on the verge' of a £24million move to Real Madrid, and that the financial problems at Anfield (that they laughably claim they 'revealed', despite it being on the back pages of every paper in Wapping yesterday) will leave them powerless to resist.

Smells an awful lot like bullshit to us, but given that nobody reads The Sun in Liverpool anyway, they can pretty much write what they like.

Elsewhere, most of the morning rags seem to agree that Liverpool target David Silva will join Real Madrid instead of Rafa's boys, and Chelsea may well beat them to the signature of Glen Johnson too.

Oh dear.
