It looks almost like Noise Ninja was applied with too much USM...
Very sweet model.

Castlesinthesky said:His comments maybe a little tactless. But yes it does, seriously. Just look at any magazine with models, i don't exactly see a lot of neat imaging/noise ninja
zhang3feng said:well, u must understand that for magazines shots, the touch up artist & the photographer are 2 different pple...
those poster girls u see on magazines have a purpose, which is to sell whatever the object or idea is... and due to commercial reason, the skin must be very smooth n free from residues lol... so to commercial purpose, yes it does matters alot.
but since it's only a portrait shoot here & not those make over specialist shoot which also uses Digital touch up artist to smoothen the skin and make things looks so perfect... i think the photos already looks very good... and the model will be pleased too.. i think a photographer is to capture the very moment of the model therefore she looks special, & not to touch up a photo so much till it looks perfect...
jus my point of view to share.. no offence to anyone or any posting![]()
Castlesinthesky said:that's the entire point what, it doesn't matter if you're talking about commercial use or not, the idea here is you want your model to look good. If it's just a portrait shoot and as long as the model likes it, why even make use of noise reduction tools?I'm talking about the use of such tools, not about retouching. you DO know that neatimage/noise ninja gives a very smooth look to it doesn't it. If the camera he's using can give such clean images, i'd like to jump over to it immediately.
Just look at the scars on her arm, don't you think it looks a little odd, like it has artefacts on it, and her skin looks a little plasticky, if that's not "editing" on its own, i don't what that is already.
to thread starter don't mind the OT, your photography is pretty alright and the model of course pretty.
zhang3feng said:ok, some miscommunication & misunderstanding here.
ok sorry man, i dont use neatimage or noise ninja, so i dunno about the quality outcome from those editing software... i only use photoshop to retouch & edit.
Yes it's very plasticky.. it's alittle over plastic.. so, is the plastic skin look created by neatimage & noiseninja??
