It looks almost like Noise Ninja was applied with too much USM...

Very sweet model. :)

impress with the 70-200VR, was considering the 18-200DX VR earlier....when I get my D50 or D70s.... now not sure..

If as a all-rounder n walkabout lens, stick wif the 18-200DX VR (if u can still find stock w/ reasonable price), the focal length helps :D

But if as a portraiture, zoom lens for Nikon sys, the boken, sharpness for 70-200VR is tops !:thumbsup: (IMHO)

Are there any more shoots for her in the near future?
I want to shoot too.. :D

Ahh ... from far .. these shots look real Pro and sweet ...
but... enlarge it ... that where the horror lies ...
These fotos are not well touch up... to me .. its like Pro to Vro ... (Vomit)...
some parts of the BODY is so obviously touched up ... and if im the model ... i would be v sad ...
To me being a easy foto taker oso can see these fault ... Whao Liew ... u laki ......
Wordless ...
P/S: If u reali wanna show it out .. show ur best lah ...

His comments maybe a little tactless. But yes it does, seriously. Just look at any magazine with models, i don't exactly see a lot of neat imaging/noise ninja

It sounds too harsh... i guess.. and i think its more like a personal attack to the poster, considering that you have only one post so far.

Please be reminded that most of the forumers here are non-professionals except for a few.
And what's wrong if the photos are not well touched up yet? This is not a Photoshop forum anyway...

But I find the pictures quite nice.
Its not that bad as you've described as like "vomit"

well, u must understand that for magazines shots, the touch up artist & the photographer are 2 different pple...

those poster girls u see on magazines have a purpose, which is to sell whatever the object or idea is... and due to commercial reason, the skin must be very smooth n free from residues lol... so to commercial purpose, yes it does matters alot.

but since it's only a portrait shoot here & not those make over specialist shoot which also uses Digital touch up artist to smoothen the skin and make things looks so perfect... i think the photos already looks very good... and the model will be pleased too.. i think a photographer is to capture the very moment of the model therefore she looks special, & not to touch up a photo so much till it looks perfect...

jus my point of view to share.. no offence to anyone or any posting ;)

that's the entire point what, it doesn't matter if you're talking about commercial use or not, the idea here is you want your model to look good. If it's just a portrait shoot and as long as the model likes it, why even make use of noise reduction tools?I'm talking about the use of such tools, not about retouching. you DO know that neatimage/noise ninja gives a very smooth look to it doesn't it. If the camera he's using can give such clean images, i'd like to jump over to it immediately.

Just look at the scars on her arm, don't you think it looks a little odd, like it has artefacts on it, and her skin looks a little plasticky, if that's not "editing" on its own, i don't what that is already.

to thread starter don't mind the OT, your photography is pretty alright and the model of course pretty.

ok, some miscommunication & misunderstanding here.

ok sorry man, i dont use neatimage or noise ninja, so i dunno about the quality outcome from those editing software... i only use photoshop to retouch & edit.

Yes it's very plasticky.. it's alittle over plastic.. so, is the plastic skin look created by neatimage & noiseninja??

yes it does give a very unnatural look when you overuse it. Don't worry about it. but you can look at this thread that i started back then when i was a newbie in 2003.
http://forums.clubsnap.org/showthread.php?t=50835

some of the examples are lost, but zerstorer has already given a best answer to this back then. I used such a method myself until i realised it wasn't natural.

Thx for sending ur 1st post as a tadless n unconstructive one, guess ur time will come where u will b flamed. Don't know whether u juz register as a new nick for personnal attack :dunno:

Enlarge to wat extent? 300-500% manification, God knows wat u looking for, pixels???

To me being a easy foto taker oso can see these fault ... Whao Liew ... u laki ......

Seriously i believe u r a easy foto taker, so mayb u brush up ur skill 1st b4 commenting on any ppl works

and if im the model ... i would be v sad ...

Dun worry as (1) she is vry happy
(2) dun tink u qualified as a model (attitude, looks??)

P/S: If u reali wanna show it out .. show ur best lah ...

Do u have any to show??

Looks a bit like Ruby Lin but I think Lynn looks better. :)

It's really good and fantastic shots!;)

Wow nice shots. Wish I can take like you did. Rusty already.

Guys, as mentioned by the poster, he did not use PS and i dun think he uses neat ninja or anything. The face is smooth because of the model's complexion and the makeup. Looking at the pic, i dun think he uses ps except for resizing and oversharpening.. prob becos he resize then sharpen..

who is lin xin ru?

refreshing pictures taken. credits to both model n photographer.
