PSed her pimples, "smart edge sharpening" to ensure only the edges are sharp. For close-ups, soft-effect. Other adjustment is according to my own taste in colors/contrast. etc.

So you mean most model shoots are Photoshopped?? Is that right? But I am not very good at photo shop especially at photoshopping away simple things like pimples.....Which I really have no idea what tool to use. I love that white bright soft glow on all the Proffesional model shoot pics... Just have no Idea on how to achieve that..... :dunno: :dunno: :dunno: :dunno:

An example is my avater....How did they get such nice skin tones and smooth skin....Really confused..

Tom, the pose is awkward for a girl in a skirt. Just thought you might want to take notice of this...

BTW, you must have been using one of those yellow line markers that lead into a straight, could have used one of the white lines instead. the yellow line is a little distracting, because of the strong colour.
Maybe you should not generalize. I didn't intend to make it a common portraiture series. Sexy, yes; "erotic", no. Actually this is the first time I got THAT feeling in doing posed portraiture. If you notice carefully, there are a number of photos with aggressive poses and angles. When compiled together, they tell u what I thought.

What u metioned is the soft focus effect, look here for the steps to achieve it: http://www.tomshenstudio.com/faq.htm

My photoshop work is very minimum, only PS the pimples. 85% of this series have no out-of-camera cropping as I cropped on the spot. The rest follows my common work flow.

do you mean you compose carefully before snapping? :dunno:

You are right. I tried to speak to her and watched her expression. Sometimes I asked her to pretend sad, most likely she would laugh instead, then a better smile could be caputured. btw, cropping makes a portrait much more interesting. I learnt this in a hard way.

Thanks pal :) I am same as you, just one of the amateur photographers in CS. If you work hard, surely u would improve fast. Shoot more, read more, think more, and enjoy more. No miracle, but u need to have a strong motivation to achieve better works. :)
