What is your reaction to Parry's comments?
  • Do you think Gerrard will be at Liverpool next season?
  • Should Liverpool consider stadium sponsorship?
  • Does Steve Morgan represent the club's best hopes of new investment?

maybe yes maybe no. alot depends on the outcome of this season.

Yes.

No. i can't be sure of his true intention. throw his own quid into the club? i don;t want to see Liverpool F.C becomes Liverpool F.C. Pte.Ltd. hahaha

50-50. it depends on how we fare. we need a strong finish to the season..and even that may not be enough. if he does leave, i hope we get a pretty penny for him. but i hope he'll stick around for at least one more season.

Should Liverpool consider stadium sponsorship?
yes, as long as the terms are not prohibitive. wouldn't want the lads to turn out for the home match in chicken suits cos sponsored by acme chicken farm :)

Does Steve Morgan represent the club's best hopes of new investment?
he was one certain source of investment but we cannot be held to ransom by one man. there were other offers and would likely be more in the future. he's a fan, true, and that gives him an edge, but the club has the right to look for the best deal and not jump to him just because he offered. and if he does take over, i wonder if he would cause friction in the club. he had certainly been opiniated, even made some comments against signing rafa earlier if i remembered.

happy new year to all LFC fans.
will be in malaysia for the new year. sigh, there will only have 56k dial-up modem. gonna miss my broadband :dunno:

The questions are posted by BBC, so these are my views as an outsider. :)

1. Unlikely. Although Liverpool vow to keep him even for 50M, if he wanna go, he will go. He was reported to said that an attractive offer from RM will be hard to resist. But he might change his mind. He is RM and Chelsea's top summer transfer target. But 50M is a good deal!

2. Yes. a stadium cost hundreds of millions to construct, so its a good way out. Man City is still in debt (Well managed debt) because of its new stadium and its subsidised for the commonwealth games.

3. He is currently the best hope as no one else express any interest. There are not many millionaires or billionaires in the world willing to dump his money into a non-profitable club. Its good to hold out for the best deal but this kinda offer doesn't come everyday and it means more waiting for the money and trophies to arrive.

These are only my views. :)

Ya lah. Wes Brown will start. He don't even play much at Man Utd and can still start. :sticktong

Let's hope Gerrard don't leave Anfield.

I dun think they are really injured. Similarly i dun think RIo is injured.

Most likely Jose and Alex are just not releasing the players as they are in title chase and this is only a friendly.

Same old tricks.... :thumbsd:

Just keep my fingers crossed that all liverpool came back with no injuries, esp gerrad... Kewell is still injured... sianzzzzzzzz

ON CL, if we can beat Bayer... we may have all our best players back for the later rounds. I think Kewell shd be back in March, alonso and sinama may be back. Morientes, Smicer and La Tallec shd be match fit and have a few matches under their belt...

Just hope we beat Chelsea and teach them a lesson on humility, esp to Jose at teh League Cup Final!

HAPPY NEW YEAR!!!

Gong Xi Fa Cai
Xin Xiang Shi Cheng
Bu Bu Gao Shen
Nian Nian You Yu
Wan Shi Ru Yi
Tian Ding Fa Cai
:bsmilie:

And to Liverpool
Nian Nian Di Yi

League Cup final coming soon :D
