Was there too! It's more than just fantastic! It was even better than when Singapore won the Malaysia cup or the tiger cup. Simply magical and electrifying. I won't forget those moments after the last penalty kick was taken.

Apparently the power to allow Liverpool to compete next season in the Champions League lies with the English FA and *not* UEFA.

Some years back Real Madrid finished 5th in La Liga and were given Real Zaragoza's place in the CL by the Spanish FA (understandly with a lot of under the table money changing hands).

Given that Everton is such a boring team and a bunch of perennial no hopers, the FA should send Liverpool instead. Maybe Liverpool can give a free loan of Djimi Traore, Djibril Cisse, Igor Biscan and Harry Kewell to Everton for next season to help the cause. Everton hasn't got the class (or clue) for Europe. :bsmilie:

sadly, i believe that everton deserves to go CL next year..

it's their perogative for finishing within the top 4...

however much i want liverpool to defend the trophy...

not to put a damper on the celebrations, but i wouldn't quite go so far as to say that pool is back in the glory days. they've won one huge tourny, granted that. but their performance elsewhere is erratic at best.

still, good to see pool back to winning ways
