I really hope they will be able to fill in for Stevie G soon enough...

Loyalty really seems like a thing of the past now...and I was hoping that Stevie G would have stayed at Liverpool till the end of his career. Haiz

ya lor, that's what i shamelessly thought and believed so when we lifted the CL Cup. :(

'Where is the loyalty?' ask Reds fans...

i believe its buried deep beneath a truckload of ££££.

we have Darren Potter.. and most notably John Welsh coming through the ranks.

Darren Potter and John Welsh ?? u must be kidding.

Gerrard broke into 1st team at 1998. He was at this prime at 2005.

It took 7 years.

Are we going to wait for Poter and Welsh to be "possibly another Gerrard" for another 7 years ?

we need to fill the role for playmaker. may be Rafa would buy Aimar.

and we need to fill the role for the captain. and the obvious choice now is the local boy..Carra.

i'm cheering John Welsh to mature and develop fast enough to get into the full team.

don't think so that Liverpool has enough time and energy left to acquire new players with the CL Qualifiers' looming.

Stevie G really landed us in a spot. well done.

the significance is not in the fact that john welsh is good or not good enough. it is the fact that he's a local lad and is highly regarded when Stevie G is around his age.

nothing like a local lad(carragher, fowler)who tags at the supporters' heart-strings.

let's see if Rafa's able to sign any capable player given the tight timeline.

Liverpool is not a one man team and i am sure even if Gerrard is gone, we can still find success...Just like we won CL despite our "GOD" (Fowler) left us....

Folwer left us when he had pass his prime. It is the manager wo did not want him.

Gerrard left us when he is at this prime..and everyone want him to stay but he is not interested to be Liverpool player anymore..

The situation is different.

I am sure Fowler still having many of our blessing..

and I will be cursing gerrard from now on...

What Liverpool needs know is a proven ball winner, that's Stevie G's main role in the team, by chasing after every ball and stamping his authority in midfield, he makes it hard for the opponent team to settle down, and in the process leads the entire team through his example.

its easier to replace Fowler esp. when mickey mouse is coming through as a thoroughbred striker and rumours on houllier's reported interest in heskey back then as first choice partner alongside mickey..

besides Fowler never left for £8million. :bsmilie: and at a time when everyone believe he has past his prime. bingo.

Stevie G... dunno what to say anymore. let's jus hope he somehow make a dramatic u-Turn.

is this true???

its been discussed on the SIGames forum and i couldn't be happier if its true! as good as signing a new super player!

It is officially announced by Rick Parry as well. Read the article from LFC net.

Fowler past his prime when he left liverpool? Not true at all...

Rem his part in the UEFA Cup win? Moreover, if i am not wrong we sold fowler for 11m to LEEDS... 3m more than Mickey mouse and it's to LEEDS and not REAL...
