1) Rafael Benitez will make his first summer signing on Monday when Boudewijn Zenden completes his free transfer move from Middlesbrough.

2) Anfield bound winger Mark Gonzales has admitted he can't wait for his 'dream' move to Merseyside to be finalised.

the gerrard saga still ongoing... think liverpool made a mistake of not negotiating when the euphoria of the CL win is still fresh. especially when stevie G sees that we have not really strenghten the side, he may be tempted to look elsewhere.

zenden is a good signing, especially for free. mark gonzales would be a promising player as well, but i am still looking out for a major signing, someone who can really add class to the side. and we still need a central defender.

Signing Zenden, a dutch international regular and the best player for Boro last season on free transfer is definitely good deal. I guess that also means the end of speculation for greek player in bolton....(suddenly dun rem his name...)

Actually i dun think so. If we try to sign immediately after CL win, all their prices will be sky high. Now, those who have moved on has moved on, season is starting so the selling team have little bargaining power...
