F R U S T A T I N G!!

Its about time heads start to roll man...

WTF.....

somemore start SG on the left side....:dunno:

pennant can go home lah....

how come no gracia ??

almost throw the TV down

dun understand Rafa.

think he got too many players liao. he is confused.:dunno:

Liverpool did not play too badly, stifled Chelsea a pretty fair bit. As individuals, the strikers are not doing enough to take their chances. Also, there is a lack of individual flair, something about the system? As a team, there seems to be a lack of fluidity. You can even say that the players lack a certain determination.

Drogba's goal was good, all down to individual flair. The build up to the goal was nothing to shout about, dun think many people were expecting anything right down to the point when Drogba chested the ball, until he turned to shoot and the ball rocketed into the net.

Ballack's red card was silly, could have been yellow, but I think the refree could have stopped at a yellow. Dun know if Sissoko was expecting a straight red cause one moment he was still standing, the next, aftert the red was produced, he turned and was on the ground, probably to help justify the red? Not to forget, he is lucky not to have been sent off earlier.

Gerard needs to be more clever with the ball, it's twice now that there were players in better positions he did not pass the ball to, and instead opted to take the shot. Once in the Everton game, the other today. Pennant needs to play less like Kewell, always looking for the foul. The rest of the players were pretty average.

I think it's bad luck we lost. Kuyt and gerrard shd have scored with the 2 chances and Gerrard is certainly bundled over by lampard in penalty box.

Performance-wise, i think almost all players played well. However, i still think Alonso is a pale shadow of last season. He made quite a few miss-passes. Sissoko, in his usual form, almost got sent off. I disagree with most view that Ballack's challenge shd be yellow card only. It's a clear stamp. You dont go in with your studs in the 1st place, not to mention on the thigh and it's too far off to be mis-timed.

Nothing to complain abt the Chelsea goal as it's pure quality. I just think starting Gerrard on the left is 1/2 a battle lost. Rafa still yet to figure out his best team. I think in away match against chelsea or other big teams, gerrard can and shd play on right. Pennant is unlikely to get many chances to get to by-line. He did well occasionally but doesnt look sharp enough for me.

:( xabi alonso lost his form ever since spain lost 3-2 to n.ireland.

he made a horrible mistake in that game and i think he nvea really got over it. sad to see our midfield struggling for form. however, when stevie g moved back to the center, everything's brighter!

2 defeats in the opening 4games.
:dunno: we can kiss the title challenge gdbye.

2 away defeats, one a derby game where anything could happen...
the other, away at top dog money spending chelski...

after a good look, it doesn't seem to hurt that much as compared to a home defeat by the same teams. the away factor sorta eased some pain.:bsmilie:

yeah. I think it's crazy to think that losing 2 matches and drawing 1 is end of the world. In the 1st place, i wasnt expecting us to win the league this year. I think this year's competition will be very exciting. Even the newly promoted teams are playing well. Not to mention teams like EVerton, Portsmouth doing well atm.

I am quite certain if we get about the same pt total (83?), we will be at least 2nd place this year. Most of the matches this year will be tighter.

To me, the frustration in watching y'day match lies here - pool played against 10men for 40mins of the game. They should have used that advantage to the fullest by piling their attack but they didn't do that lor  Had they at least try harder and equalised, that 1 point earned will prove impt in the long run. IIRC, last season also we lost to a 10men team game too.

.... hmm... must be extremely patient when rooting for pool

 thurs morning mux hantum newcastle.

they got titus bramble. basket, at least we can score one goal against them!

still lose then i dunno wat to say liao.
