SG was injured ?

I guess premiership is more impt. if u don't top 4 no change of euro.
lets see what they do for the rtn leg @ anfield

he was carrying a slight injury

I must say this match expose our weakness again. We just simply have problem scoring. Throughout the match, we seems to be contented in getting a 0-0 draw and we conceded a late goal, ala man u match.

With or without SG, it is no excuse for such poor play. I think Morientes and fowler shd not be substituted but rather, garcia and kewell should. Both of them did not play well. Even Carra is MIA during the goal they score.

And Yeah....GO Braca GO....GO Braca GO!!! Trash the daylights out of chelski.:sticktong

Will nt watch any match where chelski r involved:bsmilie:

buang liao la real. thei manager is not tactical acute at all. but then again, to lose at home in a CL game... :sweatsm:

i can see arsenal playing the counter in highbury.

chelski really faces an uphill battle!

quote from ESPN Soccernet:
'It was probably a booking at most, but Messi rolled around in the mud and the Barca players reacted as if he had been murdered.

They sprinted to surround referee Terje Hauge, who waited until Del Horno stopped pretending he was also injured before granting the Barca wishes and brandishing his red card.'

woohooooo! best male lead goes to Messi and not to a player from chelski! :bsmilie:

thank goodness our second leg is at ANFIELD!!! CHIONG AH!!!!!:p

;) mourinho hails lionel messi as a talented actor.

ha! a taste of their own medicine... :bsmilie:

go go go!!!! :bsmilie:

now i cannot talk too big here in the LIVERPOOL Thread wait i tio PM again. hahaha
feel good about our chance to overcome the boys from the acting sch in portugal, benfica.

benitez promised a much improve performance from our boys and that is fine with me. i'm very positive and quietly confident that we'll overcome these bunch of actors.

oh, chelski can really dream on. it'll be so nice to see them slip up in the EPL too.:bsmilie:

quote from ESPN Soccernet:
'Gomes, who revealed he had talks with former Liverpool boss Gerard Houllier over a possible move to Anfield, added: 'This victory also proved that our win over Manchester United was not just a lucky one. But Liverpool were much harder to play against than United.

'Liverpool as a team were better than Manchester United. They defended very well and they had better players in midfield and it was much harder.

'But what we have proved is that when we are playing at home it is difficult even for the very best to beat us.

'We have not done very well recently so to beat the European champions will give us great confidence.'

nuno gomes is a very good striker. still remember his turn-around and smack goal against France in the Euro 2k.

this time round at Anfield, hopefully their team will lose convincingly.

The full extent of the injury is still not known yet, hope for the best!

He's such a promising player would be a pity and great loss to the club if his career ends due to this injury

can't imagine him being out of the game at only 21!!!!

man... this is jus too sad..
he's the ideal player to replace hamann:cry:

Agree

There's some encouraging news on his injury here.

Luckily we got Sissoko. Imagine if Everton got him and then they would have wasted a gem.
