another 0-0. this time against eternal rivals, Man utd.

pretty even match, but man utd only has, i think, 2 clear chances. both are from RVN. otherwise, a very tame performance from man utd. of course i'm pleased that they played this way.

however, Liverpool has a big problem in converting chances into goals. got around 4 good chances. :( rio ferdinand is in a very generous mood. from the way i see, man utd can't do without roy keane. he's really pulling the string in the midfield. in all, a very subdued performance from man utd. and yet again another lousy 0-0 draw from Liverpool.:(
 

by the way, Luis Garcia sucks. :thumbsd: how he stayed on for 90mins is a huge mystery. personally would've sub him out during half time and brought in Cisse and switch to 4-4-2. :embrass:

chelski is a title winning machine. well-oiled to squeeze out 1-0 wins. how i wish we can churn out 1-0 wins too!

We actually played quite well... However, i do question why Rafa plays Garcia and Crouch combination. Garcia is good in flick on and thru ball and should pair him up with Cisse who is quick on the feet. Alternatively, should pair Cisse and Crouch in a 442 as Crouch's flick on from headers can benefit Cisse... I think Crouch/Cisse combination looks good even from the few matches that they managed to play together...

Also, when Warnock is being replaced, i thought Zenden should be brought on and Riise play at LB so that Zenden can provide better crosses to Crouch...

All in all, a good opp lost....

zenden injured, right? yeah, i thought last night's performance was pretty good. man utd was restricted to kicking the ball around in the midfield and its really nice to see ronaldo making aimless runs. and a really subdued rooney. we lost this fixture last season, 2-1? this time round, we pulled a draw. so, match for match...

against hotcakes at white hart lane, we lost the fixture last season..
against middlesbrough at riverside stadium, we lost yet again.
against man utd at ANFIELD, we lost once more.
and against Sunderland some 3 seasons ago with Houllier as the gaffer, we drew 0-0 despite shooting some 30times on goal.

does anyone think that we've made some slight progress now?

from defeats to draw... from draw to victory... and we still only scored 1goal and non conceded.

by the way, it was an excellent defensive display from the Reds last evening. outstanding display. but the Garcia factor... :cry:

don't think zenden is injured as i recalled he played in the CL game and crossed for garcia to score....

As the article in liverpool.tv has indicated a week ago, we have made progress. We have improved on the respective fixtures. Also, last season, we have lost quite a few matches after Europe and so far not yet. Now, only Chelsea, Man U and Liverpool are unbeaten.... and we are level on points with Arsenal so not a bad start.

Now only for goals to flow.... Cisse, i reckon is deeply affected by the lack of confidence in him shown by Rafa... We can only wish Rafa talk him out of his slump...

ya... personally i believe Rafa will offload Cisse in the January market. Cisse is clearly not a happy man last evening. still, Garcia should not start the 2nd half. he's simply horrendous last evening. :(

you never hear us kena suan by commentator.... after second goal they say liverpool scored more goals in this match than in the premiership season...... :thumbsd:
