Owen is playing the media. he knows many LFC fans, including the chairman, David Moore, would be keen to see him back at anfield. at the very least, many would loathe for him to go to another EPL club, me included. but if we are gonna pay through the nose for him, i'd rather we do not sign him. and with or without owen, ciise should stay. he's done enough to earn himself a chance, even though there are shortcomings to his game that i wish he would address (some of which owen is guilty of too).

one centreback by wednesday. and maybe a right winger. that's what i am hoping for.
yeah... agree with you... he sort of trying to pressure rafa to take him back... eventhough rafa seems more keen on signing kuyt, who is staying with Feyenoord....

mai lah... dun wan him back leh......

Josemi indicated that we will see his best in liverpool and wanted to play as CD.... wonder what my bro wong_se thinks of it....

long time never see wong_se around....

I don't want MO back. He was a disloyal little bugger. :thumbsd:

Breaking News!! MO had agreed to sign a 4 year deal with Newcastle!!

anyone rejoicing?
smart move by Rafa! forced the total value of M.O to be much higher! Newcastle sweating backets, what's worse is that Graeme Souney is the gaffer~!!! haha!:bsmilie:

is there any clause for Liverpool to get a slice of the coup from the sale of M.O from Real to newcastle? if so, he's a genius! :bsmilie:

newcastle can't be doing worse than they already are. MO will make a big difference for them, i feel.

pool fans may rejoice at the news now, but who knows? MO may score against his former club....

yeah, maybe by that time, graeme is enjoying the sun in California? ha!

why worry? forking out 15million quid or more for a player who left us for only 8million quid is sheer stupidity. besides, we've Cisse whom i feel will be a very big asset this season.
and i hate the Gerrard long ball to owen tactic... once too often!
Go LIVERPOOL!!!

Thats why i am wondering that Newcastle are doing. They're dumb. According to BBC, its 17M pounds.

New Disneyland at Newcastle!

Too bad for Liverpool! :bsmilie:

Kuyt snubs EPL clubs

From another perspective, were Newcastle really that dumb to get owen for 17M pounds..... or was it poor long term management on our part that owen left for only 8M?

17M pounds for Owen and we have people buying up Newcastle Owen jerseys. We paid what...7M for Crouch (no offense to the player) and has anyone has a crouch jersey yet?

Its dumb cos Newcastle paid 17M when RM was only asking for 12M. For footballing issues, its a transfer coup by Newcastle. They've got a world class SC. He will make a difference to them.

Crouch no matter what ppl say, is still not in the class of Owen. Maybe even not half as good as him IMHO.

knowing crouch and mickey, i mean, i can tell them apart, the differences are obvious. one's tall and one's midget. ha!

anyway, their style of play are so different and i admit, the signing of crouch is not my cuppa kopi. maybe i'm quietly skeptical of his credentials. but come to think of it, if rafa employs a 4-4-2 at Anfield, the obvious choice will be one tall and one fast striker. morientes ain't that fast but he sure can head and hold. perhaps crouch can do some holding up and man, can he head!

owen's a good finisher but it seems to me that he's a one dimensional player. now don't get me wrong... maybe after years of watching mickey in action in the colours of the REDs, he has become rather predictable. push, run, shoot... hope for the best! repeat after me, push, run, shoot... hope for the best!

but he has become very effective and deadly under the reign of Houllier and gang(due to the style of quick, fast counter attack) and my, he's European Footballer! hmmm... any recent man utd player having that 'dubious' honour? pardon me, but my general knowledge towards other football team smacks of oblivion...

will mickey owen make it in Newcastle? it'll be interesting for us, spectators and third parties alike. but for me, he left his rainbow's pot of gold when he played out Liverpool and left for a pittance. and poor old Liverpool, all the while holding out, hoping in vain that their once main man will sign on the dotted line. pretty pathetic, 8million quid can buy u no Jenas or woody!

now, let's hope for a new Center-back and a right winger in the classic mould of Chris Waddle? ;)

15 to 17million quid for M.O ... what a classic deal by Real! brillant piece of business, IMHO.

latest...

a last ditch counter offer from Rafa to snipe M.O over from the clutches of Newcastle!

oh no!!!!! :sweatsm:
