knowing crouch and mickey, i mean, i can tell them apart, the differences are obvious. one's tall and one's midget. ha!
anyway, their style of play are so different and i admit, the signing of crouch is not my cuppa kopi. maybe i'm quietly skeptical of his credentials. but come to think of it, if rafa employs a 4-4-2 at Anfield, the obvious choice will be one tall and one fast striker. morientes ain't that fast but he sure can head and hold. perhaps crouch can do some holding up and man, can he head!
owen's a good finisher but it seems to me that he's a one dimensional player. now don't get me wrong... maybe after years of watching mickey in action in the colours of the REDs, he has become rather predictable. push, run, shoot... hope for the best! repeat after me, push, run, shoot... hope for the best!
but he has become very effective and deadly under the reign of Houllier and gang(due to the style of quick, fast counter attack) and my, he's European Footballer! hmmm... any recent man utd player having that 'dubious' honour? pardon me, but my general knowledge towards other football team smacks of oblivion...
will mickey owen make it in Newcastle? it'll be interesting for us, spectators and third parties alike. but for me, he left his rainbow's pot of gold when he played out Liverpool and left for a pittance. and poor old Liverpool, all the while holding out, hoping in vain that their once main man will sign on the dotted line. pretty pathetic, 8million quid can buy u no Jenas or woody!
now, let's hope for a new Center-back and a right winger in the classic mould of Chris Waddle?
