actually i called to reserve 1 flash before going down. swissco will reserve until end of the day ie 6 pm. hope you guy call, bring your camera and spare battery before going down. bring an extra flash if you want to test the optic "slave" function of the SB3000.

According to an email from Swissco,

opening time :930 am to 6.00pm mon to fri
9.30am to 3.30pm sat
close on sun.

Met I think p3ntax there at about 1 plus today.. Swissco must be quite stunned at the demand for the Pentax model First time Pentax sells more than Canon & Nikon combined!

Anyway, does the high-pitch whine continue even after the ready light comes on? The flash did that on all 3 pieces that I tried out.

yes. I'm guessing it's the speaker within. If u listen to it very carefully. The charging sound a bit diff from the standby sound. I'm deaf on high pitch so the sound is not very visible to me.. U all with normal ears should be able to listen better

ya ya pentax stobist outing...trying new things... getting my gears first...keen to play with lights...get some flash first...then maybe a light meter if funds permits...

looking at the vivitar285 or the Sunpak Super 383 Flash...
