Lexar Media 40x WA 512MB CF and 32x WA 1GB CF - Anyone interested?

Hi all,

We are trying to determine member's interest in a Mass Order for Lexar Media 512MB 40x WA and 1GB 32x WA CF cards.

WA (Write Accelerated) cards will give better performance (up to 43x) on Nikon D100, D1x/D1h cameras (as well as some Kodak ones), and will perform as normal 40x cards on other cameras.

The CF card will come with Lexar Image Rescue software and a JumpShot cable.

Prices are estimated at around S$300 for the 512MB and S$500 for the 1GB (subject to changes as the prices will depend on the volume).

Note: This is NOT a Mass Order yet - just a poll to find out how many people are interested. Please vote ONLY if you are TRULY interested as we will use this for negotiation with supplier.

hi darren, count me in! Either for the 1gb or a 512 it doesn't matter which one you go for. I have the 512 24x WA and those babies are fast! But I'm leaving SG for australia end june so the cards must be in by the 23rd of june. Thanks

Darren, I am in for 1-2pcs of the 1GB one if the price is right

no, not interested. other than the Rescue function, i do not see any other benefits from using this Brand.

Personally, I feel that the extra $$$ is not worth spending.

People who depend heavily on CF cards for a living may feel differently.

It's quite a bit faster on Nikon bodies. :devil:

The jury is out. They seem to die as often as other brands. What they do have is an excellent no quibble one of one exchange guarantee. Compared to Ridata, what I also get is flawless performance when they are working, with Ridata I get no write problems but plenty of occasional read problems. Bearing in mind the relative lack of price differential these days, I'm gradually migrating all my cards to Lexar. Therefore, yes I'm interested. I believe the prices Darren has quoted are slightly on the high side as well (as in, they can be had cheaper).
