Key question now ;)
Is a point worth approx $700 ?

You are right. I am really trying to justify the price now which I was able to do so for the 75mm but unable to do for the 42.5mm. Definitely a lens for professional photographers but if clients cant tell the difference in IQ you can get price savings by going for the 75mm.

Still waiting for the price to go down for this lens :D For me a price difference of 300 SGD is worth it for the aperture and more usable focal length at the expense of losing further reach.

Still hard to justify the price. Are common full-frame 85mm F1.4/1.8 that much worse? I guess most pros would rather grab ob of those...

deeply poisoned now :(
after a two weeks affair with this nocticorn... the 45/f1.8 suddenly feels so unattractive

What u r feeling is normal :)
After using the 75/1.8 I never used the 45/1.8 unless due to space constraints

played with 75mm and 42.5mm. 75mm is nice but i hardly got chance to shoot outdoor. so 42.5mm works better for me..but then..can't justify the price $1.9k :bsmilie:

so will stick with Oly 45mm

i only use the 75/1.8 for zoo outings or F1.. :(
whereas i bring the nocticorn go kaikai everywhere...
honestly.. it's not so much the resolution or sharpness... but how the entire image is rendered..

You should put warning so people won't watch it at the office, otherwise others will fall victim of the sleep spell. :bsmilie:

Its TGIF. Happy dozing off on ye desk.

Just thought Id chime in to say youve got a really nice model and there is really good background separation too.

Thanks ! the model was provided by the fashion shop. If interested , I can try to get the contact for u.

my framing with the 42.5 tends to be relatively tight.. i.e. half or 3/4 body...

not used to staying so far away... :D
