hahaha.. now we know why the topic of less people taking public transport was mentioned yesterday...

cos they will now increase the ERP on the 2 expressways next week....

another excuse to increase ERP price...

And also to reduce the car growth in Singapore further... This was reduced from 3% previously to the current 1.5%... And the next review is in 2012... which i think they will further reduce...

Reduce car growth = increase COE...

i strongly agree to increase ERP ! more more more muahahahaha :bsmilie:

even if the ERP is increase, there will still be quite a no of cars driving around...doesn't change the problem of having traffic jams.

50 dollars per entry... in 10 years time ?

i think the next step is to put 2 more gantry at the Sentosa and Marina Bay IR.. :bsmilie:

Possible haha nothing is impossible right haha with the Inventor of ERP (Every Road Pays)

haha maybe next time new borns will have ERP chips implanted so they will charged by the headcounts.. and ERP Gantry infront of your house haha

I agree, policy makers who insist our transport system is without flaws should try taking a train around the town area on a weekend afternoon. We pay fare increments for SBS to upgrade their buses to handicapped-friendly buses but they say their bus is not ready to take handicap passengers yet.

haha hey dun forget the airconditioned Interchange haha.

Hell wat do i need an airconditioned interchange for???? So as they can have a chance and excuse to increase the bus fare.

Then more people take buses then increase bus fare after that people take car increase ERP and back and forth.

So your muahahahaha is impacting you also. :bsmilie:

Not true. ERP increases affect everyone as the transportation of goods, food and people all need to pass thru ERP gantries ;p

Maybe in future, every district will have ERP.. one example is Toa Payoh Lor 8.

Remember someone posted a PP photo of ERP at every 10m? that would really be $chng $chng $chng all the way.

cos during the morning peak hours, lot of cars doing a detour to avoid the one at CTE. So ah gong said must put one there so can reduce the car as it a safety for the residents there?:bsmilie:

The current ERP rate is simply too low, and is not enough of a deterrent. Increase it to $20 and you will soon see no cars on the road!

nope....he is referring to the possible consequence of increase in prices of goods/services, food and even possibly public transport (except mrt/nel/circle line/downtown) because these companies have to factor in the increase in ERP when their raw materials/finished goods passes through the ERP-ed roads or to factor in additional fuel and time due to detours around the ERP-ed roads.

so, the ERP indirectly affects us...
