Getting this lens from bkk. price after vat reduction is cheaper than local quote by $70-$80 bucks.

I think they just found a totally legit way to maximize their profits and I have the feeling it pays off for them. In Singapore you can ask for any price.

Well the objective for Olympus Sg is to maximize profits. So they will price it as high as they think they can get away with and still make sales. Of course they hv to make their retailers happy, as well as follow olympus pricing guidelines. Just count our blessings while we hv them ie international warranty and international shopping!

I am no pros, but happen to have both lenses, prefer the m.Zuiko 60mm for its longer working distance, splash and dust-proof too
