[ Lens ] m.Zuiko 60/f2.8 Macro

That's way too much. Nowhere here what I paid for mine.
hi,
how much you bought your 60mm F2.8?

do you have the 45mm F1.8 too, i am hoping someone who have both lens to make a comparison.
i do have 45mm F1.8, but also considering 60mm F2.8, i like my 45mm F1.8 as it is sharp, very compact and nice bokeh.
still wondering is it worth to replace 45 with 60, dont think i will keep both.

by the way, i am not into macro.

Don't think that we are supposed to discuss prices here, but it was around mid-700ish. ;)
I have the 45mm f/1.8 too. To me these are 2 different lenses. I'm a sucker for macro lenses as I think that macros are the best prime lenses to get. I don't shoot much insect macros but do like to take flower, human and pet close-ups and macro lenses are the best for this to me.
The 45mm is sharp but the 60mm is sharper. It is unbelievably sharp wide opened at f/2.8 and it is so difficult to find a lens that is so sharp at its largest aperture opening. It beats even the highly renowned ZD50mm f/2 as it is slightly sharper and much faster and quieter in autofocusing.
What the 45mm has going for it is that it is really cheap, compact, focuses faster and looks absolutely gorgeous on my silver OM-D body. Unfortunately, the 60mm only comes in black. :(

Not going to panic buy until it dropped to an acceptable price of $650-680

Wanted to buy the 60mm but out of stock at the famous shop :(

Some quick shots , all unprocessed. Just got the lens today over lunch. Portrait vs Macro :D

Ok, Singapore buyers are getting ripped off.

HK RRP is HKD4390 which is about SGD696 consider exchange rate of HKD6.30 to SGD1 and if paying by credit card (2.5% fee) is about SGD714.

Street price is about HKD4100 (SGD650 in cash and SGD667 in CC).

Is this HK price with warranty card?

Is this HK price with warranty card?

When I use RRP it means Olympus HK RRP, so it is with warranty lor.

HKD4100 is not stated whether with warranty or not, only say sold in Sim City 2F.

Next month I go HK come back share share info? heehee

...

Malaysian RRP is RM1999, almost the same to SG RRP $799 at ex. rate $1 = RM2.5, but shops in KL are selling it at RM1.6-1.7k, i.e $640 to 680 only.
Over here, most shops are selling at RRP, and cheapest I found is $750.

Normally if you see the trend, Olympus will be selling at about 80% of their RRP whether in SG or MY. Just that SG retailers like to suck dry SG buyers. Give it 2 months it will be $650+/-

For Panasonic lenses it will be about 85%.

anyone else gotten the len?

Poison!! Anyone knows the price in Japan?

Hi,

Does anyone here who have bought the 60mm lens, and also own the Macro Arm light?

Based on specs, the macro arm light is more than sufficient to extend beyond the 60mm lens, but if anyone has a picture or have both items can confirm for me, it will be really appreciated.

Cheers

Oops, it's okay, don't bother... the four thirds web site has just updated it's matching simulation, and now I can see how the setup looks like. They don't have the 60mm yet, but I've used the 12-50mm to get a rough idea.

Thanks
