haha,,,, FA 28-70/2.8 star is really a good one, saw some 2nd hand online shop sale at about 1600S$ ++ ..... design quality and photo quality was one of the top product within n/c/m/o 28-70/2.8 range and working very very well with dslr ..........but but but the build quality for 28-70 was not as good as 85/f1.4 ... see the 2nd price of the AL len, it was made by polymeric materials and not class .... who else knows if one day ..... touch wood loh.

Sigh... Was planning on getting just the DA70...
Now really torn between FA77 and DA70...
Though FA77 is significantly above budget....
Am thinking I might get a DA70 + FA50 1.4.... ;P

Anyone got similar images from DA70 and FA77 for comparison?

if u like DA len, really recommend u the DA14mm.
it shall be the len with pure pentax blood, design B4 Samsung join in.
not easy to find anywhere, if u happen to saw this len, don't let it go.

The DA14 is indeed a great lens, great built quality and excellent IQ too. I prefer it over the 12-24 zoomy

Actually DA14 is quite easily available here in some local stores

I am an armature who has joined the Pentax DSLR bandwagon recently with a K10D.As mentioned I am pretty new to this hobby and am trying to learn as much as possible with my kit lens, which I find is pretty good for my needs.
I have been staying in Tokyo for a year and would be returning back to Singapore Next month,

It'll will be great if people around can advice me on "sensible purchase" from Tokyo, I am basically interested in

1. Pentax Lenses for K10D that are not available/expensive in Singapore and that are cheaper in Tokyo
2. Is going for a low-cost used-lens is a good idea?, if so can people suggest some good seller in Tokyo

try Mapcamera japan in Shinjuku
they have very minty cameras.

but do you homework ( pricewise ) first before going in

Pentax Cash Back : 10000 Yen(you need to have a Japanese address and it will take a month to get the cash back)
Points : 18900 Yen

Effective Price : 76100 i.e 1000 SGD

FA 50 F1.4 is roughly $330-$350 if I am not wrong.

Dun think can get the DA 70mm limited in Singapore according to fengwei and co. If you search on bhphoto or adorama, its about SGD$650 (not counting the US$50 rebate which is only claimable by US residents).

Thanks for the cleaning kit.. Have been using sensor swipe to clean and blower but couldn,t remove it. Will try the O-ICK1.
