Hi guys,
Can I check with you experts are there any lens adapters available for Minolta or rather A-mount lenses to be mounted on other cameras (eg. N, C or P). I only saw that there are adapters for M42 mount lenses for Minolta cameras. Thanks.
not that i heard of... and confirm i think cannot for C i think... something about their depth and size of their mount.
but i think most lens cannot, cos most A mount lenses does not have manual aperture ring, u will be stuck with wide open.

there were occassional postings on ebay for such adapters a few months ago, supposedly to interchange between N,C,P and even KM systems. but quite ex, about USD100+
had contemplated buying one to share my collection of KM lenses with C user friends.
but with the loss of AF, and likely image quality, i figured the cost and risk of a crappy adapter wasn't worth it.
I see. Thanks for the info. I got a M42 to KM mount adapter, so the M42 lenses will not have AF on my KM body also right?
yup. simple guide: add adapter, lose AF.
besides M42, there's also a MD-MA adapter for KM, to mount older KM, Rokkor and other such (old KM mount) lenses. but its total MF.
I see. Thanks for the info.![]()

Hello Galdor,
You can refer to a photo here which I posted taken using Peleng lens(which is M42) with M42 adaptor.
You have to do manual focus yourself.
However for using peleng 8mm, because it is too "short at 8mm" focusing is not important. Everything seems to be in focus(Not applicable for long lens)
