I wonder if Leica Singapore will get more than 30 units in the next shipment. My guess is that they will probably get lesser than that.

Just visited Click in Funan. They also have 50 on the list. And they are more expensive than the Leica store!

Strange that a reseller is selling it at a higher price than Leica store. Looks like there is a lot of pre-orders. May take a few shipments to clear the backlog.
I was in Singapore a few days ago and visited the Raffles Leica Store. I saw and handled a Q for the first time, and while I really liked it, fortunately my wallet won't stretch that far. The young lady was very very nice though and I'd buy from her in an instant. A stark contrast to the feeling I got in the Leica style store in Marina Bay Sands.
Less than 24 hours later I visited the Leica Store in Frankfurt airport, nice staff, but no Q.

Vivo City Leica booth (dunno how to call it as not a boutique) they have Leica Q in display nice sale person also very accommodating and chatty person....

These are traders who take advantage of shortage of supply...
Leica SG said Singapore is the main hub in Asia for Leica so meaning SG will get stock 1st than the rest of Asia including Japan (that's what I have been told).

I usually find the resellers offering slightly cheaper price than Leica Store. Maybe they decide otherwise for Leica Q. Wonder who will place their pre order with the reseller instead of Leica Store if they are charging more.
Singapore is indeed the hub in Asia. Even tho some of our neighbouring countries come under the the same Leica Office here...we are usually allocated more units than the others In the region.

well if they can sell good for them Yes Leica SG will get the stock 1st then distribute to the rest of Asia so if you don't mine paying extra GST best to get Leica in SG then other Asian country. Last I spoke with sale person in Leica they said they go some promo for other Leica items if my memory serves me well upto 12% that's big savings...
I think US is another good place to get Leica some shop overs in-shop discount and they could work out your tourist tax exemption in-store... That was the Seattle Leica shop told me last time I was there.... sadly no $$ to get any gears hehe

Oh...those are opportunists. Getting Leica in the UK is not too bad too, tho not as attractive as in the U.S.those traders in ebay or similar normally take advantage of those cant wait
Leica Singapore had a private sales earlier this month for demo/display items. Heard the prices were attractive but I was not in town.

Agree with Kit, Leica stores here, Indonesia, Malaysia, etc are managed by Leica Camera Asia Pacific.

It's ok since you have been allocated one. Heard there was another shipment a couple weeks ago. Looks like product is slowly catching up with demand and also getting ready for production of the new camera to be announced soon.
