wah lau - i am still new here dun say things like that lar! :embrass:

Din go for the canongrapher outing - actually the pics were all taken over a duration of abt 1 month all at different times. was actually doing a course on macro photography and picked up these skills, was a slow learner so had to go back on my own to take a few times.

speaking of which, must mention my si fu (Mr Low Soon Leong), im glad to have the honour of learning from him

glad you like it :)

wah pro.... i like the lady bugs.... so cute

wow, excellent shots !!!! :D love the subjects, color and background :D

where to register into such course and how much? :)

iboey: The course is 'Nature Photography' by SAFRA Photographic Club (Mount Faber) - pls note that different instructors teach different styles, if u wan this particular style, refer to my above post on the instructor to look for :)

thank you both, v.high praise

Superb series. Very well taken. Keep up the fantastic work.

thanks for the compliments! :)

to ans some your queries:

I used low DOF so thats why the rest of the subject (wanted only the eyes sharp) is actually not sharp, this is how i got the 'color effect' - there is no PS done on the BG at all, just A LOT of shots and a lot of patience.

Sharpion : post more pictures le... wanna see...

Ortega : wahlao, whr got bluff... only huff & puff... :bsmilie: besides, it's been quite awhile since my last roll... :(

very cool...with your framing, looks like those motivation posters

muka_tikus: i got post somemore in the abstract section, been busy with my new hobby so haven't been taking much pics

dragos: thanks, good idea! now i gotta think of motivating phrases

for those who PM me: i was using my 90mm tamron, F5.6, all the shots NOT taken with flash to maintain as natural color as possible - used tripod to maintain light and low shutter speed

have actually 1 more pink one which i will add later 2nite :)

And you took all these shots without flash?
That's frigging outrageous:thumbsup:
Very nice saturation.
I like the shadow created by the hopper in #04.
My only nit is the cut off antennaes.

hey thanks man!

my fav pic is #4 too - yeah agree shame abt its antennaes, those things are freaking long...i was in a very uncomfortable position and with tripod legs sticking everywhere was hard to recompose without scaring it away.
