I went recee last week at Chinatown. Took a few shots off my D700. Pretty good view from the HDB block there.
Good view of the CBD area. Ideal for 617 i think.

Street View . good for long exposure for light trails.

How about going there this Friday evening after work for a LF shoot? do it before the CNY crowd hit chinatown.

hi zguy, which hdb building did you use to take these pictures? Thinking of going there as well since I will be quite free this week.

ya. I went there for a quick snap. Only bring 617 with 90mm lens. The lens is a bit too wide as I was shooting from HDB corridor.

Here's one of pictures taken, red hot from scanner:bsmilie:

and of course i would want to join you guys if it doesn't rain today. Perhaps we can take a few china town shoot as well.:D

is tmr evening. not tonight. yr slide looks very good in the cool blue light.

lol, totally loss sense of time after taking break.

Still wondering the blue is due to cloudy weather or due to processing after learning from losheng what happened to his slides:think:

and another light trail picture. I wish i brought a LF...

the blue tone look ok for the timing that you went. i agree that the 4x5 with a longer lens would be better for the light trail photo. too dark on the left side as the cars' headlights were not facing the camera. Another problem to tackle would be the spotlights on the church overexposing the walls. have to dodge during the long exposure.

have another picture with better exposure, but the light trail isn't as nice. and the bottom has to be cropped because of hand rail:(

You might not want to miss this one. You are all set for wide angle photography! The 45G is a pro level camera with geared rise and fall. Under USD350 for this set is a very good deal - the lens itself worths USD150-220. Each film holders worth USD7-15. And you save on the shipping cost of individual items.
