Hi all the masters here! Just get a field camera and loaded with 4x5 B&W films, can't wait to start shooting;p
But I am without any knowledge or equipment in 4x5 film processing. :cry:
Any of the masters here will be kind to provide 4x5 film development service for me?:) Thanks a lot in advance.

Oh my! 30 for a sheet? Save a few bucks can start your own development!

Ahhong! just experiment! Its part of the fun or get a roll film back if you're not so confident

$30 per film for scanning!!! :o
may try out there development service as i dont have any darkroom equipment:bsmilie:

If you get them to develop only its still alright. Scanning can be done yourself but then again you need the top of the line V700

:bsmilie:lucky i invested in a V700 earlier, or else my another arm will be gone:bsmilie:

I just missed the recent commex, v700 at $788. I have about 14 cameras with a speed grapfic otw without a scanneror a dry cabi.

The scanner itself is gonna cost me a few limbs + LF equipment oh my. the pathahead is a slippery one indeed

I dont have a dry cabi either, so that i will force myself to bring out the gears for sun tan...

Wah $30/sheet? They use imacon or drum to scan?

I seriously doubt it is drum scan. Perhaps the price is due to the long duration it takes to scan a particular film and not the equipment cost itself.

you can try to write or call them to find out what scanner they are using, or perhaps, the scanning price is common for all slides, color negatives and Black & White films.... not sure...

They are using drum scanner:

4" X 5"

100MB = S$30.00
200MB = S$45.00
300MB = S$60.00

Scan one outing 4"X5" you can buy a home use scanner.

Foto Archive pro scanning

35mm 60MB $10
Xpan 60MB $15

120mm
6X6 100MB $20
6X9 200MB $45

LLKang, why not you start a film scanning service . I be your first customer.

I dun think that is drum scanning..I heard for this they are using a durst sigma..still a ccd scanner..

i just use a $300+ canon 9000f which dun even support 4x5 scanning. i just scanned my B&W negative 2 times over each half and stitch together in PS.
Cheap way to get my 4x5 images to post online. :) but it works for me :)

I just told ShadowLeong this idea on the outing. He is thinking of a V700 initially.

I found a deal to get a canonscan 8800f for $150 new. And im seriously considering since the only advanage of v700 is that it does 4x5.

wrong bro....
V700 is having 2 lens system which is why it is a very good film scanner.
